4 Instagramable NYC Spring Spots To Visit This Season

The sweet scent of spring is finally in the air. While we do our cleaning, brighten our wardrobe, and emotionally reboot, we can also plan to visit some of New York City’s most desirable spring locales. Nowadays, it’s hard not to take photos for Instagram when out and about. (Guilty as charged.) The Woodbury Bus Blog has you covered, though, with four Instagrambale spring spots that are camera ready.

1. Buy A Spring Outfit And Dine In An Ocean-Themed Restaurant: The Woodbury Bus, which is located in Midtown Manhattan, can be your exclusive ride to Woodbury Common Premium Outlets, just one hour outside of NYC. At the outlets, you can find all your shopping needs under the sun, spring pun intended, and buy a springy outfit to wear to Lamia’s Fish Market, a beautiful sea-themed restaurant, in the East Village. (It’s always enjoyable to snap a picture in brand new clothes, too.) Secret NYC posted about Lamia’s Fish Market on their Instagram, and this spot has gorgeous ocean murals and picturesque under-the-sea decor, where you can be transported straight to the water. (The ocean is my happy place so this is exciting.) And what better way to embrace the warmer season than to indulge in a menu of mouth-watering seafood that includes a raw bar of carefully selected oysters, clams, and mussels, and an array of fish by the pound that can be salt-baked, grilled, or butterflied with lemon and capers.

2. Find Cherry Blossoms In Central Park: Autumn may have leaf-peeping, but spring has cotton candy-like blossoms on trees, and I always marvel at the surreal beauty of it all. Time Out New York notes that Central Park is the place to be to spot these colorful jewels, and as they say, timing is everything. The blossoms could possibly be there late March, but most likely, you will find them during the peak of spring in April and May. Cherry blossoms in Central Park can be specifically found between 72nd St. and 96th St., around the Reservoir, Cherry Hill, Pilgrim Hill, Great Lawn, and Cedar Hill.

 3. Step Into The Friends Experience: April could certainly bring rain, and sometimes, you need to seize those feel-good vibes indoors. Friends is one of those nostalgic television comforts, and you can now partake in The Friends Experience in NYC. Hang out at Monica and Rachel’s apartment, relax at Joey and Chandler’s apartment across the hall, order coffee at Central Perk, and dance in front of the iconic fountain. Tickets for the Friends Experience, which runs through April, can be purchased via Fever New York.

4. Visit the Annual Orchid Show At New York Botanical Garden: Secret NYC recently posted about the orchid show at New York Botanical Garden that is truly the epitome of spring. The Enid A. Haupt Conservatory is transformed into a beautiful orchid display that runs through April 23rd, and this year’s guest designer is the artist, Lily Kwong, a former student of New York Botanical Garden’s Adult Education program. Her exhibit, “Natural Heritage,” was inspired by her “ancestral connections to the natural world,” and she was influenced by paintings of Chinese mountainscapes that were passed down by her family. You can breathe in the spirit of spring, literally, with this mesmerizing exhibit of all that is floral.
